WE ARE HOME

Hello from Bonnie and Josh. We are so happy to be home we are able to be with family and friends which makes all the difference in the world. Our first night home Joe delivered Josh's new guitar to him and they played a couple of tunes, so good to see him doing what he loves to do! His heart rate automatically dropped just from being home, he is ecstatic not to have people poking and prodding all night. We continue to enjoy our friends and family coming see us.  We have hospice care in place and we love her as she tells it like it is and does a great job keeping Josh comfortable, teaching me and leaving us so we can live our life. As always we can not continue this fight without all of our loved ones so please let us know how you are and what is happening in your world. We love ya'll

  1. Hi Bonnie & Josh-
Cape Cod saying hello! Glad to hear Josh is more comfortable at home & visiting with friends and family. New guitar sounds like great therapy!
We hear the flakes are supposed to fly tonight in Denver- gotta love that crazy Colorado weather. We are getting ready to celebrate Hayley's first birthday on Easter Sunday- hard to believe. Hope you both had a chance to see the pictures from Mexico- Hayley absolutely loved the vibrant colors & warm weather of Riviera Maya. Brought back great memories of St Lucia with you guys!
The dogs are doing great although one of our young ones Oscar is still a serious pain in the ass. Anyone want a German Short-haired Pointer? He's extremely handsome but needs some serious help!
We miss you guys & are keeping you in our thoughts-
    XOXO

  4. Bonnie & Josh:

Thanks for the update. Please know that a lot of folks here in Alabama are thinking and praying for you guys in this difficult time. I would encourage Josh to visit the Friends of Josh Dawson site on Facebook. Lots of messages from some old high school folks. We enjoyed a beautiful spring day yesterday taking the girls to Overton Park (same park we saw you guys at last summer with Clark and Rhett). The rain has moved back in so we are dying Easter eggs this morning. Last night Stephen Walker and I were out having a beer and ran into Michael Terrell. He said he would be seeing you guys this week in Denver.

Hope you guys have a good week and let me know if there is anything we can do for you down here in Bama.

    Best Wishes!

    Holli and Jonathan Simon

  7. Thank you for sharing all the wonderful memories. Bonnie your compassion and leadership is missed at Wyatt. A day doesn't go by where courageous energy is not sent toward you and Josh. Giving both of you strength and hope as you enter each day. Lots of Love, The Thompson's

  8. Josh,

You probably don't remember me as you were the little guy when I knew you. You and I dined on some dog food one time. I used to go to church with you, we called your brother Kenno, maybe they still do. I remember your dad had a big yellow cadillac and my sister Laura and I would go with all of you as your folks played tennis when we lived in Georgia on Saturdays. Once your dad turned up the song "Why Can't We be Friends" and the whole car was singing. Must have been about 1975. My mom was kind enough to share with my sister and me of your illness. It is my sincere hope God will comfort you and bestow upon you His peace and grace during this difficult time. I pray that you and your family will have great days ahead and you will be supplied with all your needs. I always thought alot of your parents as I remember them being very kind to my sister and me as children. May God Bless You All.

    Your friend,
    Brent Ainsworth
